Wollongong City Gallery can provide a number of spaces for use by groups for functions and meetings. The unique atmosphere of the Gallery makes it an ideal venue for a wide range of occasions.

Gallery Spaces and charges

BlueScope Steel Gallery
Housed in what was the former Wollongong City Council Chambers, BlueScope Steel Gallery is a large space with soaring ceilings and exquisite parquetry floors.
Seating capacity 160 theatre style 100 seated dinner 300 cocktail function
Cost inside Gallery hours:  Half day hire $300.00 (3.5 hour function)
                                                 Full day hire  $600.00 (7hrs, 10am—5pm)
Cost after 5pm weekdays:  $240.00 per hour
Cost on weekends:              $240.00 per hour   

 
Wedding ceremony
A wedding ceremony with a difference surrounded by the contemporary artworks from the Gallery’s permanent collection as well as period furniture forming the perfect backdrop for the celebration and photographs.  Cost includes setup of chairs and signing table.
Cost: $360 (only Sat - Sun 12pm– 4pm)

The Foyer
The ideal spot for a cocktail function, dinner or launch adjacent to one of the Gallery's key exhibition spaces, the foyer is also the perfect place to provide your guests with a pre-tour glass of champagne. Seating capacity 300 cocktail function
Cost only outside Gallery hours: $190.00 per hour

The Dining Room/Terrace (Education room)  (conditions and availability apply for this space)
Located on top floor of the Gallery, this space can host a cocktail party for 100 people or a dinner for 40. With lift access from the Civic Plaza and a large terrace, offering views over the city and glimpses of the escarpment, this space provides the opportunity to combine the pleasures of entertainment indoors and outdoors.
Seating capacity: 50 theatre style 40 seated dinner 100 cocktail function
Cost outside Gallery hours only:  $130.00 per hour 

The Guides Room
Situated on the 3rd floor of the building and is ideal for meetings of a small group of up to 10-15.
Cost inside Gallery hours only:   All day hire $165.00 (10am-4.30pm)
                                                           Hourly bases $33.00 per hour

Note: Gallery hours Tuesday - Friday 10am-5pm, Saturday and Sunday 12-4pm.
