Public Programs
Regular public programs include informal talks by artists and guests speakers in conjunction with most exhibitions.  Special events such as lectures, performances and art workshops cater for a broad range of audiences.

Wollongong Art Gallery Contemporary Watercolour Prize
$10,000 (Acquisitive) Prize
Is a biennial competition open to artist from around Australia.  The prize aims to encourage innovation and experimentation in watercolour painting, including works on paper in watercolour, acrylic, gouache, pen and ink, and watercolour mixed media
Entry forms must be submitted with entry fee ($40.00) by 5pm Friday 4 July 2014.
 
James Kiwi Traditional Watercolour Prize $2,000 (Local)
Is open to residents within the boundary of Helensburgh in the north, the Southern Highlands in the west and Gerringong in the south.  This is for paintings on paper which use watercolour only, applied in a transparent, traditional watercolourist style, in keeping with the teachings of James Kiwi.
Entry forms must be submitted with entry fee ($20.00) by 5pm Friday 4 July 2014

Continuing Life Drawing
with Elspeth McCombe
Saturday 31 May, 12-4pm
For those who attended an earlier workshop or have
some life drawing experience.  Extend your life drawing
skills using ink, pastel, charcoal and pencil.
cost: $65 / $50 Friends. Materials provided.
Continuing with Pastels Workshop

Saturday 28 June, 12-4pm
For intermediate level or those who attended an
earlier workshop.  Use a variety of techniques to
create a still life pastel painting
