Learn, Explore and Discover Art at Wollongong City Gallery
Wollongong City Gallery provides an exciting exhibition program with many opportunities for teachers and students.
The Gallery provides a primary visual resource in art education; an opportunity for teachers and students to experience first-hand observation of original works of art as a contrast to the reliance on prints, slides and other mediated images used in the classroom. It provides students the opportunity to look at, and engage, with, artworks of many different styles and forms, in many different contextual settings.
Wollongong City Gallery is dedicated to making the Galleries varied collection and visiting exhibitions as interesting, challenging and informative as possible. Free guided tours, education materials, art making activities and visits to the Resident Artist studio can be arranged. Tours may focus on special interest areas, particular exhibitions, or the whole Gallery.
