Fiona MacDonald has developed an art practice that straddles the local/regional and the metropolitan/global.  By focusing close attention on the local she creates art that speaks of broader concerns.  During her time in the Wollongong City Gallery studio Fiona MacDonald has created a suite of watercolour images of community activism in the Illawarra that mirrors global workers action.
